Executive Education scholarships awarded

Port of Tauranga master mariner and marine pilot Lars Sorensen has been awarded a Tauranga Chamber of Commerce Business Scholarship to study for his Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies through Waikato University’s Centre for Executive Education. The scholarship covers half the course fees for the two-year qualification.

Priority One in Tauranga has awarded two management scholarships to study for the same qualification. Richard Kinzett, business development manager at Priority One and Kevin Hill, utilities manager at the Bay of Plenty District Council, will begin their study this year.

The scholarships are available to members and/or their employees of the Tauranga Chamber and Priority One and classes are held every alternate Saturday from February to November.

In Hamilton, The Waikato Chamber of Commerce Business Scholarship for the Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies/MBA programme has been awarded to Richard Carter, business manager at Cambridge High School.

A Waikato University Master of Business Management Living Allowance Scholarship worth $10,000 has been awarded to Neekita Choudry. The MBM degree is offered by Waikato University Management School’s Centre for Executive Education and is designed for people who’ve had experience in a particular field, perhaps agriculture, science, engineering of education, and who are looking for a career in management. Neekita Choudhry’s experience is in the tourism sector.
