Information about 599
The 499 Report of an Investigation is only available to BMS students. BMS (Honours) students have the option of completing a 599 Report of an Investigation as part of the Honours programme.
The distinguishing characteristics of a 599 are:
(a) The topic demands a broad study of the literature normally citing some twenty to thirty publications and;
(b) The 599 Report of an Investigation makes a contribution that bridges the gap between empirical and theoretical knowledge in the topic area.
As an Honours student, you may choose to do a 599 and three other level 500 papers, or a 499 and four level 500 papers, to meet the requirements of your Honours programme. You may wish to discuss your options with an advisor from MSC.
A 599 Report should be in two major sections, the literature review and the investigation report. Each of these sections should be approximately six thousand words, resulting in a complete report of approximately twelve thousand words.
