About Jenny

Jenny is a senior lecturer in entrepreneurship and strategic management at Waikato Management School, at the University of Waikato. Her research intersects the fields of entrepreneurship, psychology, strategic decision making. She is interested in the psychological antecedents of key firm decision makers, including entrepreneurs and managers, across a range of organizational settings. Her current interests in entrepreneurship are on the role of identity, intuitive judgement and emotions in opportunity seeking. In the context of strategic decision making she is particularly interested in the role of identity and the goal process.

Jenny has published numerous articles in leading journals e.g. Strategic Management Journal, Industrial Marketing Management and Personnel Review. She has numerous active research projects with PhD students and a range of international collaborators examining the aforementioned areas.

Research Supervised

Jenny has numerous PhD completions, in areas such as entrepreneurial intuition, the role of dynamic capabilities and the foundations of interpersonal trust. She is currently supervising four PhD students in the areas of entrepreneurship, emotions, and networks. This includes an international supervision with the University of Antwerp.
