About Karyn

Karyn is the Director of Digitisation Strategy at the Waikato Management school.  In this role, she works with academic staff across the Waikato Management School and the University of Waikato to develop a strategy and implementation plan.  She is also a project champion of new initiatives in the digital space in face to face and online teaching and learning.  She is also an active researcher and teacher in the area of Digital Business.  Karyn has supervised research projects and provided consultancy in the areas of digital business improvement, social media and digital health management. Karyn has PhD students in social media for entrepreneurship and health behaviour change through gamification. Karyn’s PhD graduates have examined emergency management and cloud computing and social media in small to medium enterprises and currently work in research and the university sector.
