About Pedram
Pedram is a senior lecturer in finance and economics at the University of Waikato's Management School, based at the Joint Institute at Zhejiang University City College (NZUWI).
Prior to joining the University of Waikato, he was a senior lecturer in finance and business analytics at the School of Management, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Pedram has also held several positions in industry starting from financial management assistant to finance manager.
In 2013, he received his MBA in Finance from Multimedia University.
In 2017, he completed his PhD in industrial and financial economics at the Faculty of Economics and Administration, University of Malaya under a Bright Sparks Scholarship, where he gained the University of Malaya Excellence Award 2017 for being the best PhD student with highest impact publications.
His research has mainly focused on efficiency performance, financial technology, risk and insurance, banking, financial economics and industrial economics.
His works appear in reputed journals such as Omega, Finance Research Letters, Economic Modelling, Applied Economics, Review of Managerial Science, Total Quality Management and Business Excellence, Singapore Economic Review, and Technological and Economic Development of Economy, among others.
