Public Relations Campaigns

This year's Waikato Management School Public Relations Campaigns Competition 2023 will be held on Thursday, 12 October from 11am at the Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts.

The competition is proudly sponsored by the Auckland office of the Baldwin Boyle Group (BBG), an international public relations and communication services firm.

Teams of public relations students are asked to research, develop and present their own strategic communication plan for a real client organisation to help solve its problems and identify opportunities for future growth.

This year’s client is Single Parent Services Waikato, a not-for-profit organisation that provides counselling services for adults raising a family on their own.

Each team’s final plan will be marked by a panel of judges – including representatives from BBG, the client, and a Waikato public relations graduate - for its professional consistency, evaluation methods, creativity, and responsiveness to the organisation’s needs.

The team with the best overall campaign proposal will be named winner of the competition, and receive an award.

Founded over 40 years ago, BBG is a pioneering Kiwi PR agency that has grown into a global network, with offices based in Auckland, Melbourne, Singapore, Bangkok, Shanghai and Jakarta. BBG provides professional advice to boards and senior executives of some of the region’s most successful businesses and organisations.
