Case synopsis | New Zealander Tim Brown (ex-2010 soccer World Cup finalist) ascended into the casual shoe market with his company, Allbirds, with an intent to disrupt an industry known for unsustainable environmental and production practices. With a small range of products all made from sustainable materials – merino wool, eucalyptus fibre and sugar cane - Allbirds had taken to the air. What heights could they reach, how could they scale up and have the impact they wanted, and what were they going to come up with next? |
